Early to Mid- 20th Century Indonesian Batik-Shoulder Cloth (kain parada).
Designed with stylized flowers connected in a grid-like fashion which is typical of Java or Sumatra. The end panels are called tumpals - rows of elongated triangles. Resist dyed with natural dyes from organic plants and roots.
The deep red color is derived from tree bark. Colors here are stunning.
